Tips
Launching Corel® Painter IX You can optimize the amount of memory devoted to Corel Painter by closing down any applications that you're not using before you launch Corel Painter. This means that more memory is available for the Memory Usage setting. By default, the Memory Usage setting, available on the Memory & Scratch page of the Preferences dialog box, is set to 80%. You can change this setting by choosing Corel Painter IX (Mac) or Edit menu (Windows) > Preferences > Memory & Scratch, and adjusting the percentage in the Memory Usage box. Increasing this number may speed up Corel Painter, but experiment with different settings. Performance can vary according to your computer system and the files you're working with.
